Consiste en un juego en el que se alternan dos deportes como son el ajedrez y el boxeo. Consta de 11 rondas.  Esta modalidad deportiva comienza con 4 minutos de ajedrez seguidos con 3 de boxeo, esto se repite 11 veces, entre cada ronda tienen un minuto de descanso.

 El primer campeonato mundial tuvo lugar en Ámsterdam en el 2003. El primer campeonato europeo de Chess boxing fue celebrado en Berlín en el 2005.

It consists of a game of the one that two sports alternate since are the chess and the boxing. It consists of 11 rounds. This sports modality begins with 4 minutes of chess followed with 3 of boxing, this repeats itself 11 times, between every round they have a minute of rest.
The first world championship took place in Ámsterdam in 2003. The first European championship of Chess boxing was celebrated in Berlin in 2005.
